Setting the Modbus Address with the Front-Panel Buttons
Every controller leaves the factory on address 1, so a bus with several new units has nothing to tell them apart. The four front-panel buttons set the Modbus address, baud rate and serial format on site — no master, no laptop, no software.
Two details worth knowing before you start: the value being edited is shown in binary on the six yellow relay LEDs — weights 1 · 2 · 4 · 8 · 16 · 32, add the lit ones — and the buttons reach addresses 1 to 62. Higher addresses are set over Modbus. The full button and LED reference is in the Product Manual above.
